Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actor and musician who was first noticed for her clever rappers, which explored issues of race and sexual identities from humor that was bold and witty. After that, she branched out into Hollywood. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came in the form of the trumpet. The musician also had instruction in jazz and classical before becoming a hip-hop teenager. While in college, she took classes in the field of women's studies and journalism. It was also during this time that she spent one semester studying Mandarin in Beijing. When she graduated, she started to devote her time to music. Her track My Vag, a response song to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in the year 2012. It eventually made it on her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. It also contained viral hits such as the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. This latter song was directly associated with Awkwafina's NYC and 2015 travel guide. In addition to being a writer and musician on her resume she determined to pursue a third endeavor actor. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films like Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018 she scored breakout performances in a variety of famous films such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. Her debut EP,"At Fina We Trust in June of the same year.
